Wow, I completely forgot that. The ML was portrayed as fat as a teen. Since the love story started then, and resumes in adulthood, I didn't perceive the story as fat phobia. However, I can see it being perceived that way. I quite loved the series, especially the multicoloured visuals that were consistent in the hotel and in her design studio. Not everyone did.

Motel California ,
Weaving ¨piano " through all of it, at the end of episode 6 , is well done .🙂

Motel California , ep 11.
I can eat fairly spicy food, not to the extreme.
But
The soft-sponsored hot-sauce to go with the chicken here will always give me a sour stomach.
Same for T@b@sco.( Never seen that in Kdrama btw).
It is not the spice, because sambal same level I enjoy.
It is just something in it. Vinegar ? -
"Motel California ¨
Halfway episode 4Sometimes I have a glimpse of what is playing on TV in the same room where I am watching, with my headphones on. Most West. if it is film or drama, having those long shots zooming in on faces.
Faces that are trying to give that dramatic, deepthinking look, in the way it was learned at an acting-course.Not here !
Both leads with the X-factor , for doing above and much more in the most natural way ! -
I also think it's very well done - 2 episodes to go.
I'm having trouble sympathizing with the character of the female lead, but I'm loving the actress in her portrayal of this role - she's fabulous.

Sooooo … we started watching the #kdrama Motel California yesterday and it was so obvious that the actor was wearing a fat suit. And that is an immediate no for me.
I don’t care if it’s only in the first episode. Not even if it’s only ten minutes in only one episode. I don’t care if the rest of the show is really good. I don’t care. Fat suits are not done.
It’s the reason why John Wick has been ruined for me, because they used one in the last movie.
Sigh.

SO excited about completing The Queen Who Crowns today or tomorrow!! It's a pretty fabulous show. I like to alternate high-adrenaline shows with cozy ones. I've been LOVING #MotelCalifornia which is small-town with all of the good and terrible aspects. It's visually lovely and I appreciate the characters a lot.

These shows just hit us differently and that's also based on how we're feeling/what we're facing when we watch. I started out enjoying #BrewingLove and it fell pretty flat for me by the later episodes. The #CurrentlyAiring show that I like a lot right now is #MotelCalifornia. It's always a bit of a gamble to see how things will evolve but it's fun to anticipate new episodes. I like a mix of completed and airing dramas. -

One of my favourite things about this drama is how kind and soft and gentle the single dad ML is. That's definitely going against the stereotypes. It's also lovely to watch a romance with no serial killers. There are "villains" but not to the extent of many shows.
The other romance I'm greatly enjoying is #MotelCalifornia which has a really great vibe. The design elements are really unique. Again, no horrible elements to add unnecessary stress to the show.

Day 1: Funniest scene. #kdrama is full of funny scenes and I especially love that there are no laugh tracks so I can decide for myself what's funny.
A recent scene that made me laugh long and loud was in #MotelCalifornia where FL gets drunk and promptly falls asleep in her crush's lap at a large gathering. She proceeds to move her face all over his nether regions while he desperately tries to maintain his dignity. The hilarity was a not-so-K-drama surprise. -
I'm mostly alternating between #sewing and #kdrama these days although I ventured out to watch my grands dance yesterday. On Saturday, I met my bestie after shopping for sewing goods at a Korean-owned café where I ordered in #korean. Learned a helpful shopping dialogue last night.
I binged #TheTraumaCodeHeroesOnCall the last couple of days and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys action-packed medical dramas.
Also enjoying ongoing dramas: #LoveScout

#MotelCalifornia.
