I’ve been listening to this sublime new Morton Feldman Trios box set on Another Timbre over the last couple of days. Born 100 years ago this month, Feldman composed music that, when performed, seems to exist halfway between the ephemeral and the infinite. The notes slip in and out of existence in the air around us, and everything ends in mystery.
These performances by Taylor MacLennan and GSBR Duo are an absolute joy to hear. I think if I could listen to the music of only one composer for the rest of my life, it would be Feldman’s.

Violin and String Quartet | #MortonFeldman-I went for a walk today with the first half of this playing and it’s gorgeous. Slowly evolving and changing as you’d expect from a Morton Feldman composition that fit the fall weather and colors just perfectly. https://anothertimbre.bandcamp.com/album/violin-and-string-quartet
