  1. As promised: today's issue of The Gods and Their Croziers is my second issue on the #Morrigan. Like my first Mórrígan issue it's a mess of cross-identifications, cosmic thoughts, and speculations about the wider role of the Mórrígan outside "war".

It's built around an observation, that several fairs in areas associated with the #Mórrígan, and feast days of several local saint versions of her, are held at or near #Bealtaine / #Beltane

But, it leads to interesting observations that suggest further identifications for her throughout myth and folklore: from Clídna to Aífe to Crédhe of the Yellow Hair.

As ever: this is not ”all" the Mórrígan, and it's not counter to what we already knew.

  6. I hope ye like fresh #Morrigan Lore because I'm dropping some on Tuesday. I've found connections that expand the Mórrígan's incarnations and appearances dramatically, exhibit some of her symbolic relationships to other female gods and to the seasonal cycles, and show a whole emotional side of her that never gets light in her traditionally-understood appearances.

    I'm excited to share them!

This builds on previous work that exhibited the Mórrígan's Maternal and Cosmic-Ocean sides, displayed by Saint Íta:

  21. Watching one of my favourite history programmes, I thought that this life of mine, with ancestral blood from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England, born and based mainly in England, close to the land and especially the spirits of the land but not its history or politics, married to a warrior woman and producing with her three more warrior women, is a long preparation for my next life.

In my quiet time, I asked my goddess the #Morrigan if this was so.

    "Yes," she said.

  26. Feeling down this morning, in a cleansing ritual I asked the #Morrigan to give me a vision that would lift my spirit. She did, showing me a happy family scene from my future. Thank you, my goddess.

I’m Morpheus. I'm an artist, ritual tattooist & writer. My spiritual practice is Celtic polytheist centered on the Morrígan & a retinue of Irish and Gallic gods and spirits. I’m the author of The Book of the Great Queen, and I serve as a dedicant priest with the Coru Cathubodua Priesthood. I am also a witch and student of folk magic and sorcery. 33. On this fourth night of Yule, in the presence of my gods, guides, guardians, and ancestors, I declare again that I am dedicated to The #Morrigan, Great Queen, Phantom Queen, my Goddess. By my solemn oath, I live and die and live again in her service.

In Irish lore, spotting 3 crows is a powerful omen linked to the triple goddess The Morrigan, symbol of war, fate, and death. The #Morrigan is watching over you, signaling transformation or significant change ahead. #Irishgoddessofwar🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛

  36. „From the three daughters of Airitech whom were said to be werewolves, to the goddess The #Mórrígan whom was said to have taken on the form of a red wolf during her battle with #CúChulainn. #Cormac mac Airt the legendary high king of Ireland whom ruled during the time of #Fionn Mac Cumhaill and the Fianna was said to have been raised by wolves and could communicate with them. Legend says that four wolves would accompany him in his rebellion against Lugaid mac Con, and that he was accompanied by them until the end of his life.“ #Celtic
