yeah! were you on the novice band of 40m? I loved that time.. I used to hang out there when i progressed my license, just to halp shaky fists i heard get comfortable.
I need to pull my logs from the early 90s and see who my first #CW contacts on the novice band were.

I FINALLY checked in to the Ohio Slow Net tonight. was REALLY REALLY REALLY rough. I learned #MoreseCode before the internet, and I must have wired my paddle wrong. I learned with the paddles BACKWARD. then, I took a 20 year break from #AmateurRadio .. So i am working on relearning to send the correct way.
The second i got on the air, by brain flipped.
but i was able to check in!
Gonna try again tomorrow.. -
One of the most active U.S. #pota #parksontheair hunters Gary #W5GDW helped me break in the #putikeeg #straightkey today. This key is smooth, just the right torque, shifts easily, rugged, no adjustments needed. I just fasten my seatbelt & off I went. Couldn't tighten down knee board to bike rack but even on my thigh, key was stable & despite the cold sending was easy. Not sure I'd recommend for new #straightkey #CW #moresecode operators but experienced #CWops BAM! #amateurradio #hamradio
