  1. Oh yea, it's Tune Tuesday! @Kitty's Tuesday hashtag has a theme of More Fizzle Than Bang from @sharazluke - artists you expected to go further than they ended up going.

I'm going with A3 or Alabama 3, as they were originally known. Their track "Woke Up This Morning" was everywhere for a while as the theme song for The Sopranos. song.link/us/i/1442814459

Their debut album, "Exile on Coldharbour Lane" had such a wild mix of blues, acid house, country, and gospel that just HIT so well in my opinion. If you've never heard their 1997 album, check it out. album.link/us/i/1442814433

It is all over the place in some of the best possible ways.

  2. Today's #TuneTuesday prompt by @sharazluke is #MoreFizzleThanBang a band or artist you thought would be huge.

    Remember Triggerfinger?
I bet you're thinking of "I Follow Rivers" now.

I saw them live and they killed it.
But then I lost track and barely heard of them again.

I thought they would become more famous, but it looks like people only wanted to follow rivers. What a shame.

Dappled Cities was an Australian alternative pop rock band from the 2000s.

They were great live and they had a respectable few albums here, so not quite a fizzle. But I always thought their quirky take on guitar pop-rock should have received a much larger audience.

I still want to live in the parallel universe where they are in fact huge.
