  1. The small cruise ship "Lord Of The Glens" coming through the Chanonry Narrows today heading back to the Caledonian Canal - I was hoping there might be a dolphin or two bowriding but nah... #cruise #Scotland #CruiseShip #MorayFirth

  2. Getting eyeballed by Bottlenose dolphin 🐬 ID1239 "Ruby" today, surfing in the rough sea between Chanonry Point and Fort George. Inner Moray Firth, Scotland. #nature #dolphins #MorayFirth #Scotland

  3. I'm very, very pleased to have taken this photo today, I haven't seen this young dolphin (ID#1332) up close for a while and was worried about his health. He has a deformation of the lower jaw and I wondered if he would thrive and hunt well for himself once he was weaned by his mum "Spirtle". I needn't have worried - he's a brilliant wee character, fit and full of fish. #dolphin #morayfirth #nature #wildlife

  4. A Bottlenose dolphin escorting a French registered cruiser out of the Chanonry Narrows today. #dolphins #morayfirth #nature #Scotland

  5. Hot on the heels of a #SilentSunday post - here's a #SillySunday one... two young Bottlenose dolphins in the Inner Moray Firth, Scotland, both playing a game of "throw the seaweed" to each other. It was wonderful to watch. #nature #dolphins #morayfirth

  6. A lovely surprise today when we had a close encounter with a small group of Common #dolphins in the Inner Moray Firth - this wee beauty surfacing very close to my camera. #morayfirth #nature #wildlife

  7. A frame from a #dolphin ID boat trip last Friday - a young female dolphin ID#1253 literally jumping into the frame, Inner Moray Firth, #Scotland #nature #MorayFirth

  8. Did you know... #dolphins will often play with inanimate objects that they find in their environment, here we have a young female Bottlenose dolphin called Spirtle in the Inner Moray Firth playing with seaweed, she throws a bit of holdfast kelp into the air and in the other shot she's holding the wrack in her pectoral fin or flipper. Great fun 🐬 😀 #MorayFirth #SeaweedSaturday #nature #wildlife #Scotland

  9. Hoping all my friends here have a good week - here's a close up shot of Bottlenose dolphin ID#1239 "Ruby" saying hello to us out in the Firth. #nature #dolphins #morayfirth #wildlife #wildlifephotography

  10. A big male Bottlenose dolphin leaping out the water in a huge plume of spray with a captured salmon in his mouth, Chanonry Narrows, Black Isle, Scotland #nature #dolphins #morayfirth #ChanonryPoint #wildlifephotography #marinebiology

  11. The secluded and beautifully located hamlet of Kilmuir on the north side of the Moray Firth, just over a mile along the shore from the Kessock Bridge but rather further using the maze of single track roads on this side of the estuary. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/nor
