At the latest #IETF in Vienna, we decided to run a peculiar experiment... stream the #MoQ sessions using #MoQ itself! All using our existing #WebRTC infrastructure as the source for the media. RT @bnjmn_marie: Gemma 4 12B ist schwer zu quantisieren. Ich konnte kein GGUF unter 6,4 GB finden, das gut funktioniert. MoQ 4.25 ist immer noch ziemlich gut und spart im Vergleich zu UD Q4KXL 0,9 GB. Unterhalb dieses Wertes würde ich keines der anderen GGUFs empfehlen, die ich bewertet habe.

So, in case you hadn't already heard… there’s a new streaming protocol being standardized that can do sub-second latency from OBS to a browser, no proprietary infra required. After the Discord news, was looking up on #webrtc, which seems to be the gold standard, with #MoQ as a runner up, bit still early stages.
Does anyone knows another, mature, alternative?

Речь о стеке протоколов для передачи мультимедиа поверх QUIC — Media over QUIC (MoQ) . Разработка началась еще в 2022 году, однако сегодня проект получает новую порцию внимания на ИТ-площадках. Также о Media over QUIC говорят облачные провайдеры и региональные интернет-регистраторы, участвующие в развитии протокола.

I started the process of setting up dependency injection in a legacy enterprise app to be able to unit test it.

I've not had to do much with #moq before, but it's fairly intuitive once it clicks. For #arcaneSpaghetti written by wizards of old, you can assert that a specific mocked function was called once with a specific set of arguments, and then confirm it hasn't been called at all with others.

Found 11 distinct and very old bugs from these runs.

@timbray Thanks for the reminder and pointer to the exact RFC (which I figured probably had already been written, but hadn't dug up yet). I just filled an issue for #MoQ to make sure we don't cause anyone undue pain with character encoding issues.

I just uploaded my slides for the "RTP Over QUIC: An Interesting Opportunity Or Wasted Time?" talk I gave at Kamailio World 2025. As the title says, I introduced RTP over #QUIC (#ROQ) and my new #imquic library, with a few observations on what future this may have, if any (especially considering most of the focus is on #MoQ instead)
