Dopo #Waze (ora uso la nederlandese #HereWeGo) ora tocca a #Moovit, che per qualche motivo mi dava l'idea di essere mega italiana.
Per i treni italiani uso #OrariTreni, installata con un apk vecchio perché purtroppo è stata acquisita e trasformata in una pubblicità da #Trainline
Per i bus vince ancora #GoogleMaps, ma alcune app locali sono ben fatte. -

Overall, it's better than #Google Maps for the most part, but for now, you may still need #Moovit to double check some things since Moovit also crowdsources data instead of relying only from official sources - which seems to be what Apple is doing atm (with surprisingly higher standards, compared to Google).
For a lot of people though - Apple Maps should be good enough and a huge improvement over what you may already be using. The big downside, ofc, is Apple Maps being #iOS only rather than cross-platform (i.e. #Android). Apple really gotta open up shit like this, i.e. things that seriously lack competition, including Maps and browsers like #Safari. I see no point/financial advantage locking them in the Apple ecosystem, they're only handicapped that way.

Omer Attias, a security researcher at SafeBreach, said he found three vulnerabilities in the Moovit app that allowed him to collect new Moovit user’s registration information from all over the world — including cell phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, and the last four digits of credit cards. Worst of all, the bugs could have allowed him to take over other people’s accounts, and consequently their credit cards, to pay for his own rides.
This whole chain of exploits could have been performed without the target ever finding out, apart from seeing unwanted charges on their credit card. Attias called it “the perfect attack.”"

Sidenote: Not going to lie, I thought it was another MOVEIt vulnerability instead of Moovit...

@sustainrelease my favorite is #CityMapper but #Moovit has some options that the other doesn't: you can turn modes of transport off e.g. in case of strikes (going to be necessary this week!) and it's a bit easier to get to a specific bus and see its schedule. Other than that CityMapper is not just much nicer to use, the team behind it seems very much on top of updating it quickly whenever they are informed about anything that changed.

Exceptions are #MobiCascais in #Cascais, #TCB in #Barreiro and #Carris in #Lisbon itself, everything else is now just Carris Metropolitana. #GoogleMaps didn't update yet but you can find all new lines in the #Moovit and #CityMapper apps. Many of the old scattered companies didn't show up in basically any planning app, so even though many lines are basically the same as the old ones, they are WAY more accessible now. Also they all use exactly the same simple pricing system, so you know that #Zapping will work on all of them for occasional trips and the #Navegante pass (o #Passe) works no issue too. They replaced ALL buses, it's a completely new fleet, so no worn out vehicles any more either!
