In 2021, we discarded #Moodle after evaluation, and went on to develop @lunalms as an #LMS with #accessibility at its core. But of course it's worthwhile to learn from an established, 25 years old ecosystem, so I went to #MootDACH26 to see what everyone was up to. It was very insightful, and it's a very nice community.

- Trust is central using AI
- We have to chose ethical solutions regarding AI
- Software is becoming easy to make (see vibeOS Video)
- AI will be in everyone´s pocket
- It makes no sense to only learn from your AI
- Lifelong education needs a subset of open standards
- Organisations will always strucutre knowledge and set learning policies
- Credentials still matter

AT #MootDach 24 I spent a little time with the very talented Stephan Robotta on the Question Bank XML export.

Inspired by that, I then worked on my #Question Bank Bulk #Tags plugin. Like the core bulk move functionality you can select multiple questions and then add the same tag to all those questions. You can either replace the existing tags, or add to them. You can find the code in beta form at https://github.com/marcusgreen/moodle-qbank_bulktags

At #MootDach 24 I delivered a presentation on the use of #AI assistants for #Moodle development. I have made a short video of this presentation which you can find on Youtube at

At the recent #MootDach in Vienna I had the good fortune to spend time with the team from #mebis who provide #Moodle services to the schools in #Bavaria. It was a delight to be with people so passionate about #education.

They have built a suite of #AI related plugins for #Moodle with an innovative User Interface and capabilities. This is the dialog from their plugin from for the #tinymce editor.

With Amaya and Sara from #Moodle HQ in Barcelona at #MootDach today. I have been a long time fan and I got to sit and discuss a specific Moodle issue.

Their depth of knowledge and ability to understand complex issues is awesome, and I write as someone who has been working with Moodle since 2003 with an enthusiasm that borders on the fanatical.

Today was the last day of #MootDach and it has been wonderful. It is very exciting to be with so many like minded people who want to share their ideas, discoveries and code. #MoodleDach25 is due to be held in Lubeck Germany and I will be going.

Auf dem Heimweg von der #mootdach in Wien - es war einfach fantastisch! Eine großartige Woche mit vielen tollen Leuten, so einige durfte ich endlich zum ersten Mal persönlich treffen. Ich hoffe sehr, es sind nächstes Mal noch mehr Mitglieder der #moodlebande mit dabei!

Drei Plugins haben wir die letzten zwei Tage bei der #MootDACH entwickelt - und gleich den ersten Preis abgeräumt 🤩 #moodle #mebis

This morning here at #MootDach in Vienna I breakfasted with members of the #Mebis-lp team. Globally #Moodle is well represented in the #university sector but they deliver extensively in #schools.

I am fascinated by their work in creating visually appealing content and their emphasis on collaboration and sharing of ideas.

Day 1 of #MootDach Dev Camp in Vienna is over and it was excellent. There was a huge creative buzz to have so many creative #Moodle people at the same time.

Dev camp is not just about experienced developers. It is for the dev curious, the test tempted and those with an interest in interfaces. Having said that, it included some very experienced and expert developers including two from Moodle HQ.
