#ThrowbackThursday to 2018, Moose walking in our woods when we lived up North. He had that orange scarf on so hunters wouldn't think he was a deer. We had a neighbor that poached our woods and the connecting neighbors woods. We never caught him, but we know he did.

I used to be a glass half full kind of girl. Since moving here I've become a glass 3/4 empty kind of girl. It's hard not to think negative about the farrier coming when we've been disappointed so many times from other farriers.

Happy birthday to the king of all dogs, Moose. Today he's 11 years old and still acts like a puppy at times. We adopted him 9 years ago when his previous owner decided he was getting too big. Look at the paws people.

My husband took one of the trucks to town to have the blower fan replaced for a 4th time. This is thanks to the kangaroo mice thinking they should chew on things and make a nest under the hood. Poor Moose thinks he's abused since he didn't get to go. Then to add to his misery I gave his stinky butt a bath. Poor guy.

For the first time in a couple months I went out to take care of Rio for his first morning feeding. He was lying down but got up right away when he heard my voice. I believe he was happy to see me.

Rio had a very good day yesterday also. He never once laid down or seemed like he was in pain. It made my heart swell with joy.

Rio was out grazing this morning, so I walked out to give him his medicine. All of a sudden his came up and he looked across the pasture, and off he goes. He spotted 2 deer a little way away grazing. We both stood quietly enjoying the beauty of nature.

Rio was doing so great on his meds, and now he's back to laying down most of the day and seems in pain. We are at a loss why. I think it's because the nights have been so cold that it's acting up his arthritis. If not, then we'll have to take him to the vet again. It's hard on us to see him in pain again.😢
