New games I played recently:
M.L.E.M. Space Agency - Push your luck game about getting your cat astronaut to moons and planets. Fairly simple, but plenty of choices to make if you want to maximize your score.
Moonrakers - A deckbuilding game where you try to complete missions for the most prestige. I think the negotiation makes this great fun, but it falls apart once players are within striking distance of the end. I'd like to play it again now that I understand a little more about how to play.
Magical Athletes - Pick your racer and try to get first place. Lots of variance defines this game, but you can't help but get invested in trying to win the race. I'll play again, but I went 1st/1st/1st/2nd so it'll be tough to top that.

I also really like the deck building aspect of Moonrakers. You have to be careful to buy the right upgrades and hire the right crew to expand your deck in a sensible way. But if you manage that, stringing your cards together to blaze through contacts feels awesome. #boardgames #moonrakers

And today we had an excellent time playing our first game of Moonrakers! This one is truly fantastic.
You have to finish contracts and most of them you can't do alone so you negotiate with the other players: "I'm willing to give you half the credits and 1 of 3 prestige points if you handle both threat dice and 3 damage." But as you move up the prestige points track and get upgrades and crew, you're less and less willing to cooperate. Is glorious. #boardgames #moonrakers -
