CW: “Moon in the Day” review (no spoiler)
I finished #MoonInTheDay. If you haven’t watched it, a few warnings: first, it’s NOT a “light” drama; some episodes are particularly “bloody”. The story revolves around things like karma, fate, reincarnation, and curses, and it continually switches between the present day and the “ancient” period.
Apart from the OST song by Zia, which I love, the story is not really bad, and some episodes are even intriguing. But I admit that it’s not a #Kdrama for everyone!

Yesterday, I started watching #MoonInTheDay on #Viki. It’s a fantasy #Kdrama that mixes the present day and the ancient period, in a complex revenge plot. I liked the first two episodes.

#Day26 Most disappointing drama of 2024
Nearly a tie for this. Both were released in 2023 but continued into this year.
#SweetHome2 scored a whopping 1.5/10 for me, only because of the 3 scenes that contained Song Kang. A total clunker.
#MoonInTheDay came out slightly ahead at 2/10 but I believe that I overrated that one. Pretty much everything about it was awful but FL did very well in the first 3 episodes or so.
Other than these 2 shows, everything I've watched scores 5+. -

I mean, I get that if you've had amazing publicity shots, it would be cool to display them somewhere visible!

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] I'm currently hatewatching #MoonInTheDay and I'm thrilled there's only one more episode. In an industry which is all about appearance, I'm just shocked by the appalling fashion, makeup, and styling choices. Dull-as-dirt characters, a sloppy plot, and bad acting. I think that the sets are about the only thing that isn't noticeably bad about this clunker. It's giving me a greater appreciation for all of the craft that goes into most #kdrama.

Ugh, #MoonInTheDay! Such a sloppy ending and these same 2 characters continually running into stupid situations are beyond frustrating! And, they're not even making it pretty, the foundation of most #kdrama. For some reason, the hair, wardrobe, and makeup choices are constantly making 2 attractive people look like they've been caught doing housework during the worst day of their periods. There'd better be only 2 episodes left. I'm annoyed. #kdrama

#day6 A drama I dropped
Going for the last one I dropped, reluctantly because it had potential: #MoonInTheDay #낮에뜨는달
It got too boring and too gloomy for my taste. The characters are shallow. I need more complexity in a drama, just reminiscing past life memories as a goal doesn't keep me hooked

Episode 11 of #MoonInTheDay and apparently, there are 14 in total. So many of these #kdrama series have sloppy endings, in my opinion. I'll finish watching but I'm probably going to be annoyed for the next 3. Also, why do these newer shows have such bizarre fashion choices? An acting idol who wears shirts that look like they belong to someone who is a lot bigger and a lot poorer! Rant over.

Episodes 1 & 2 ❤️ (airing)
These first two episodes are exciting. There are thrilling scenes, romance scenes, supernatural powers and historic flashbacks.
I didn't experience this emotional roller coaster since #FlowerOfEvil.Also it's the first time that I see #PyoYeJin in a leading role. She played tremendously well as supporting cast in #OurBloomingYouth #FightForMyWay and #WhatsWrongWithSecretaryKim
