"The whole of the next day they travelled through the wood, straight towards Moomin Valley, and Snufkin went in front playing his mouth-organ to keep their spirits up. At about five o'clock they came to a little path which had a big notice beside it, with an arrow, saying:
DANCING TO-NIGHT
This way!
VILLAGE STORES
It was a funny little path, winding here and there, dashing off in different directions, and sometimes even tying a knot in itself from sheer joy. (You don't get tired of a path like that, and I'm not sure that it doesn't get you home quicker in the end.)"

Blimey, I forgot it was Monday. And Monday means Moomins!
Unforgivable really, when you consider I've done absolutely fuck all all day 😂
This one's for you @Nickiquote
"Once upon a time there was a hemulen who worked in a pleasure-ground, which doesn't necessarily mean having a lot of fun. The hemulen's job was to punch holes in tickets, so that people wouldn't have fun more than once, and such a job is quite enough to make anyone sad if you have to do it all your life.
The hemulen punched and punched, and while punching he used to dream of the things he would do when he got his pension at last.
In case someone doesn't know what a pension is, it means that you can do what you like in all the peace you wish for, when you're old enough."

Since forever, I have been giving my computers names from the Moomin stories, in the original Swedish. Currently my iMac is Ynk, my Windows box is Mymlan, my spouse's iMac is Filifjonkan, and my MacBook is Tove.
(I started using this convention for the HP-UX minis and workstations at my then work in 1985 or so, before I even had any computer at home. Later I started doing it at home.)
