I have doctors and friends,
but I am the only one who lives in this brain. 🧠
I’m strengthening the 4th Leg of my stability table today: Me.
Mood tracking, journaling, and showing up for myself.

I’m tracking my mood to find the patterns.
I am not a victim of my biology.
I am a student of it.
Data helps me stay well. 📊 -

I am trying another #moodtracking app. This one is called #MoodPatterns. It analyses my mood and other factors and tries to find correlations.
Apparently, ‘use: yip’ is correlated with higher stress.
Good to know, I guess, but what the hell is #yip?!
I found online that ‘yip’ is a slang term for cocaine, but I didn’t take any. (And even if I did, how would the app know about it anyways?) Complete #mystery. 🤷

I used Daylio to quickly capture my mood, but stopped using it after a year.
I also like Raindrop for hoarding... for collecting links and ideas.
Goblin Tools is also magical, especially for analyzing tone of voice in emails and text messages. The magic todolist is also nice idea, but I don't have a use case for this.

I’ve been doing CBT training for my #anxiety. Learning about the Worry Tree, hot thoughts, cycles etc. I’ve come to realise that I need to journal daily. Not only that, but I need to have a way of reviewing data to prove that life is positive.
With #iOS18 launching soon, I’m hoping there’s a wave of apps using the new #HealthKit APIs to log mood in Apple Health. It would be good to have various apps read from a central source, just like my physical health apps do.

My mood tracking app just gave me a little notification "it's not in your head, it's in your data" and I found that both validating and supremely comforting. I am product market fit. Good job designers 🙌

Been using the app Daily Bean as my everyday mood tracker/micro blog, but I'm contemplating on eventually switching to the Midori 5-Year Diary. I like the idea of being able to look back on the same day of the previous years--all on the same page. Thinking of making the switch next year...
Is anyone using it? How's your experience? And is it really FP-friendly?

To get a better grip on and understanding of my depression I need to start tracking my mood throughout the day.
I am attempting bullet journalling. Basicly list my activities during the day. And I could just write a single word about my mood to the right of the entry. Maybe even add number to indicate intensity.
But I am curious to other options. So if you have a suggestions, I'm all ears.

Does anyone know of a good end-to-end-encrypted #diary application that allows for #cloud sync between phone and computer? Bonus points for in-built mood tracking (or other metadata tracking) and for it being #FLOSS. #apps #journaling #moodtracking #recommendations
