Indeed. Not so long ago Stu Cowan, with a couple of sports sociologists, wrote “Skating on Thin Ice.” The book was occasioned by the Habs signing a young man who been convicted of sexual misconduct. It describes a situation wherein sexual misconduct is “normal” in Canada’s hockey system. From boys to adult men. Hockey is a place where sexual misconduct is groomed.

Not a safe place for our sisters, daughters, granddaughters, or women friends to be hanging out. This is a men’s health issue.

WTF are coaches and parents thinking, creating and condoning this?

In St Henri, there’s a train track that is used by freight and VIA trains that uses a low bridge to cross the Lachine Canal.

Last night, I saw a #Montreal police car and a CN Security car pulled up to the siding.

The four officers were leaning on their cars with arms crossed, shaking their heads, staring towards the train bridge.

On it was a drunken guy in a suit, weaving along the bridge tracks… on a Bixi bike.

A huge freight train was stopped behind him, waiting to cross the bridge.

Just before midnight, the last Saturday night with this part of Mont Royal Ave open for pedestrians.
