  1. Today really felt like #Spring with 80° weather and my first Warbler sightings.

So many Yellow-rumped Warblers! I counted at least 10 in one tree alone.

I was thinking about it and decided a group of Yellow-rumped Warblers should be called "a booty of butterbutts". 😁

  2. American Tree Sparrow
Recognizing Sparrows remains challenging but I've managed to identify 11 different species so far, usually through photos and research after the fact.

I haven't seen many American Tree Sparrows but one day a bunch of them were hanging out at the border between the beach & the woods, posing nicely on the fence.

  3. A rare moment with an Eastern Towhee and a Wood Thrush in the same shot.

I only have a few photos of Wood Thrushes and so often my Towhee pictures are blurry as they busily scratch the ground. It's not the clearest shot but I still love it.

  4. I chanced upon a crow tamer. He's been feeding the crows shelled peanuts & hard-boiled eggs (!!).

This was the 1st time the crows came next to him. Will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Also, note to self: I need to get that bag of peanuts back in my pocket. I'm hoping my proximity to food guy will also buy me some crow street cred. They are notoriously smart.
