  2. Cordner’s Cafeteria “A real good place to eat"

This #VintagePostcard depicts Cordner’s Cafeteria which was located near what I knew in the ‘50s as Morgan’s.

The 1930/31 Lovell’s Directory states that it was located at 1203 Phillips Square. The manager at that time was R.L. Cordner, so it looks like it was a family business.
Would anyone know the model for that car? Or the range of years?

The Astor Restaurant was opened by George Gavaris in 1924 on Montreal's St. Catherine Street.
In 1978, the Montreal Gazette's Stephanie Storey (link in next post) said: ”Now the Astor serves all kinds of food from scampi and snails to pizza and spaghetti .... The Astor’s strawberry tarts, filled with pure cream, are made by two pasty chefs in a separate fully-equipped pastry kitchen on the third floor.”

  4. "It's a must to visit DUNN'S when in Montreal"

This is my vintage postcard of Montreal's famed Dunn's Delicatessen which was opened by Myer Dunn in 1927.

At the time of this postcard (1963) Dunn's boasted of being the "Largest air conditioned delicatessen restaurant" (in Montreal I presume).

Dunn's is best known for its smoked meat and cheesecake.
