Enjoyed this writeup on a type system for a TTRPG monster tamer. They go in with clear design goals and constraints which helps them come to a very different system than something like Pokemon. Most games don't stray too far from the ur-example, which could be for various reasons but I haven't seen any writeups about it, so it's nice to see someone documenting how and why they ended up with this system #monstertamer #gamedev
