eyyy, so far I've done:

✓ eat breakfast
✓ have therapy
✓ Blanket Time™ with Midna
✓ get dressed
- stay home until cannabis is delivered
- go to The People's Coffee to work on #writing stuff/character sketches for my #monsterhearts2 one-shot this weekend

I've actually done a little bit of character work for the game: writing lists of simple, divisive motivations for side characters. I still want to: finish the list of names, come up with scene location ideas, and maybe flesh out one or two scene ideas in case my players are shy about starting the game

Monsterhearts is like a nice halfway point between, say, D&D and the DMless games¹ I've been facilitating, in terms of "DM" prep. like, I don't *need* to prep for hours before running a game, BUT, I find having, like, lists of names really helpful

- #Pathfinder 1e. Not a fan of the crunch, but it's for my wife
- Taking a short break from #MasksANewGeneration, a #PoweredByTheApocalypse #PBTA supers game but ready to dive back in to the GM seat at a moments notice
- #Trinity #Adventures game. Character creation was a headache compared to other #WOD #WorldOfDarkness games but the characters are fun
- Our #MonsterHearts2 game should be starting up again at some point

Wish I was playing
- #13thAge for the amount of say players get in world building
- #GURPS for the complete characters you get after creation, which CAN be a real chore
- #D6StarWars as it was one of the first games I played and I really like the system
- #CastlesAndCrusades #CNC for the old school style with modern sensibilities
- #VampireTheMasquerade or #VampireTheRequiem. I've got a #VTR campaign I want to run at some point, but I don't know if/when I'll get to it. A long term obsession I haven't had the chance to play in 15-20 some years at this point
- #StarTrek #LastUnicornGames. I like the way they handled life/career paths

@Mycomancer Oh, so many that i want to run or play. I’ve been in a long dry spell of #TTRPG due to reasons.

I could go on and on. Now four of them, Fudge, Fate, Risus, and Five By Five, are more toolkits than games, but they’re great nonetheless.

We did a check-in after game to make sure everyone was having a good time and stuff, and started talking about the difficulties of DMing, and the conversation reminded of the time I MCed a #Monsterhearts2 oneshot, and one of my players (who was playing a Witch) legitimately shocked me by breaking into a police car for a token so she could scry on a cop later in an attempt to gain more information about a missing classmate.

Players bring unpredictable chaos sometimes... #ttrpg
