#Gelbi seems to recover well from his injury. Yesterday he was picking up some crumbs from my plate, when I left him out of sight for a minute. He instantly went into #Graui's bathtub and started splashing. The vet said he's not allowed to bathe until today. Let's hope yesterday evening counts. You can't blame him for wanting to get the remaining blood from the feathers.

#Gelbi seems to be pretty happy with his "new" beak: I heard him loudly picking up seeds from his metal bowl for quite some time last evening.

#Gelbi and I did a planned trip to the vet today. His beak was growing again and he couldn't get rid of it himself. The vet said it might be caused by the structure behind the beak being softer as a result of previous trauma, so he would not be able to consume/grind it. Then the ver did a bit of clipping before he got out the angle grinder (?) to bring it in shape again. Bird and driver are home and well meanwhile.

It's fascinating how one is able to distinguish by the time he takes to calm down, if #Graui saw a cat or a fox outside. The fox seems to upset him a lot more.
