Friday night and I was introduced to another band from Mongolia. Unlike reggae's RataBuZz and hip-hop's BigGee, The Hu videos ahve subtitles. It would be great to have Wolf Totem be an anthem that helps run Rio Tinto and other destructive extractivist corporations off the planet. I was reminded of the Mongolian Reggae performer RatAbuZz over the weekend. The on-line videos I found did not have English subtitles. But a Japanese article note-com^1 mentioned this documentary on Hip Hop in Mongolia. The older traditional guy is great: it's here, it's ours now, probably even originated with us. Seems like a good attitude, along with this younger guy's.
