Genghis Khan: The "forbidden" secret!
He established the pillars of an empire that was as feared as, and even more feared than, the plague, stretching across vast areas from China to the borders of Europe, yet his grave remained tightly hidden.

I have never before read a book from right to left.
This is the first manga I've ever read, and it confused me when I picked it up. The front page, compared to the spine's location...was 'wrong'.
This is the story of an historic figure from almost a thousand years ago:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatima_(d._1246)Her life does not end peacefully.
Here is info on the manga:

The anime:

I look forward to enjoying this tale and learning a different way to read.

The largest empire in history wasn’t built on weapons… but on food!
The Mongol army conquered large territories without supply chains, refrigerated wagons, or massive stores of grain. So how did they move faster than every army they faced?
The answer lies in a brilliant food strategy that kept warriors fed, mobile, and ready for battle across thousands of miles. It’s one of history’s most overlooked military strategies and one that changed the world.
Discover the survival foods that helped build an empire and why this ancient strategy still fascinates historians.

Gold thread glows against deep brown silk, forming roundels where winged lions and griffins stride in mirrored pairs. Their tails curl into rosettes, fusing Iranian and Chinese motifs into a single imperial language.
How does the tension between symmetry and organic movement shape the rhythm of the pattern?

Gold thread coils into winged lions and griffins, their tails looping into rosettes against a silk ground woven with cloud-scrolls. This cloth asserts Mongol power by fusing Iranian roundels with Chinese motifs—how many feline heads hide in the griffins’ tails?

Ancient DNA from Golden Horde elite tombs in Kazakhstan confirms C3* ties to Mongol rulers, but challenges the claim that 1 in 200 men descends from Genghis Khan. ✧ siege of Baghdad ✧
The siege of Baghdad took place in early 1258 when a large army under Hulegu, a prince of the Mongol Empire, attacked Baghdad, the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate. Hulegu had been sent by his brother, the Mongol khan Möngke, to conquer Persia. When Baghdad's ruler, Caliph al-Musta'sim, failed to reinforce the Mongol ar...

Russia took from Byzantine only the church and tried to convince us they are the same.
