Good morning Mastodonians! It's Monday the 13th, and I'm back from a short vacation...ugh. But I'm more in love with Oakland, MD, than ever, and had a chat with a lady who told me it's increasingly popular as a retirement destination. I may be part of the wave.
But here in Baltimore it's a clear, warm day, I'm struggling to wake up and focus on work...ugh.

Good morning Mastodonians! It's overcast and a bit cooler than it was over the weekend. I'm bleary-eyed, still waking up, feeling like I barely slept at all last night.
I was supposed to have a security system installed on Saturday...but the technician never showed up! Grrrr. Plus I have to have Xfinity come in and install a coax outlet. Ah, homeownership....

Good morning Mastodonians! I'm sitting at my dining room table, working from home because the car's in the shop, but at least there's clear blue skies outside, and it's to be in the 70s today, so I have windows open and am relishing the air. But I'm sure pollen isn't far away...

Good morning Mastodonians! Ugh. Back at the office. And it's cold in here which is a shock as it's normally rather overheated here. But, back to the grind, and we'll see what the day brings. Leaving early today for an eye exam; gotta check up on the glaucoma.

Good morning Mastodonians! Happy Monday! Well, happy as possible. We had a couple inches of snow over the weekend, and it's been below freezing yesterday and today, so no thawing. But I'm sure this will all be gone by the weekend (highs in the 50s Thurs and Fri) and it's not even enough to look charming; it's just obnoxious. Especially when you have to scrape the windshield.

Good morning Mastodonians! Well...it started off good. I had to face an unimaginable tragedy this morning that struck without the slightest warning and left me in tears, curled up on the floor in the fetal position.
My slow cooker is dead.
I was going to cook some potatoes in it, to have with the liver and onions I plan for dinner tonight...but as soon as I plugged it in and started program it, it balked. I moved it to another outlet. Nope. Still unresponsive.
I mean, dammit, I've only had that thing for ten years! Stuff doesn't last anymore. But...I have a new one ordered, so at least that's being fixed. I can't live without a slow cooker. I adore slow cookers. I am a ho for slow cookers. Keep your air fryers, you can have slow cookers when you pry them from my cold, dead, fingers.
Anyway, it's a cold, overcast morning here, the first really cold day of the season. To be below freezing tonight!

Good morning Mastodonians! Oy...back at work. UGH. Actually not awful; I got so much done the week before I left that I don't have all that much to catch up on, and some situations fixed themselves while I was away. It's a clear chilly day, only to be in the 50s. I have to get back in my old routine and it's a struggle sometimes....I have to go grocery shopping, I have to hit the library and the pharmacy...sigh...

I'm at work, going through photos of last week's conference. It's a chilly damp day with fizzing rain, typical for Monday the 13th. Another week...and then I'm on vacation next week!

Good morning Mastodonians! A steamy one already...88 at 9 am! To get up to 100 today; we'll see what happens. Boss is back at the office, got a meeting in a few, got stuff to catch up on now that he's here...sigh. Mondays can be annoying.

Good morning Mastodonians! It's an appropriately dreary morning for a Monday. Rain, humidity, fug. Not fog, fug, that general feeling of dampness and lack of enthusiasm and that slight layer of moisture that gathers on everything, even though you've got the AC running, and that sense that nothing is really drying out, there's only phases of being wet/damp.
In other words, yuck. Fug.
Boss is out this week, and Thursday is a holiday (Juneteenth!) so it shouldn't be a bad week...but the weather may make it annoying.

Good morning, Mastodonians! We actually had RAIN last night!!! After a reverse-Noah of 40 days without a drop, we finally had some rain. We need more, but it's more than welcome. This morning has that clear fresh feel to it that's so inviting, that wonderful effect of a sunny morning after a rainy night.

Good morning Mastodonians! Light layer of clouds overhead, and everyone is tense. Oh, these crazy elections. And the landlord DM'ed me to say they would be working on the furnace today and they might have to go in my place to bleed the radiators, so I had to zoom around and do some last-second picking up. Sigh...the life of an untidy person.
Got another week to go through nonetheless...lots to do.

Good morning Mastodonians! A lovely one here but to warm up, and some talk of thunderstorms later in the day...which clicks with the mackerel clouds I saw yesterday, which usually presage a change in the weather. Some of that country-boy wisdom I learned..."Mackerel sky, soon wet or dry."
Back at the office, although I could use another day off to recover from my weekend...yeesh...a wonderful couple of days with a special person, but man, am I tired!

Good morning Mastodonians! It's Monday...blech...but here I am. It's cloudy right now, but supposed to clear off...and NO RAIN in the forecast until a passing shower on Thursday! The boss is out, going to see Judas Priest somewhere, and I'm holding down the fort.
