Mom and pop hamburgers are just better than any corporate chain. There is something about how each one is similar yet distinct. Whether it's the chop of the lettuce and onions or the extra they add to the thousand island. #food #momandpop
Brugos Brings Old-School Italian Hospitality to Cave Creek
For nearly two decades, Brugos Pizza & Italian Bistro has been serving more than pizza and pasta. Tucked into Cave Creek with glowing lights, warm music and the scent of garlic in the air, the…

I finally did it. I also wanted a book store & although it’s only online, it’s still a book store which I can built into a brick & mortar later if I choose.
Welcome to http://GregsBooks.org
I love that places like this still exist. They’ve been in this location for decades.
In a world of rapid product replacement/upgrade cycles, AI, and mass production, this person just fixes your broken shoes.
They did me right with mine. It felt good to fix instead of replace with something new.

Who doesn’t love Pizza? This is better than any Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John’s, etc. Once I tried this, nothing is the same.

@energisch_ @gerrymcgovern unfortunately, the more mom and pop, specialized, independent #home service companies get eaten up by larger all-in-one, everything home #conglomerates the harder that becomes.
Even with their #expensive #crm #serviceTitan #efficiency #constantContact #app tool for #scheduling and #pricing their new #super #skills #company needs to charge more for everything with less experienced #workers than if you had a #momAndPop #master do the work!
If anyone truly wants to #save the #Planet everyone needs to kick #bro out of the #game
Anyone that thinks replacing #human #skills and #abilities with #software and #machines is better for the #Environment than letting a human expell their own #energy doing the same things, is the problem, not part of any real word solution.
Are you the #Victim or the #Crime ?
#GratefulDead #BuiltToLast #MuzakLessons #ClimateChange Does one really need an #ebike for a trip through #downtown and back?

Bonkers that it's been 15 years since I first saw MGMT's "Time to Pretend" video on MTV2's "Subterranean" show. That whole sentence is a little bonkers. Back then my Tivo would record "Subterranean" for me every week and I'd ...

I did my #breakfast burrito thing at the #Diner, the owner was cooking and cranking some #reggae, I sampled some of his "own recipe" Salsa, had black coffee that can strip paint, and everything is absolutely fucking BEAUTIFUL with the world.
YEAH!
Beautiful.
I put this image on X/Twitter to convince my remaining followers there to try federated socials.

"Batman: The Cult" trade paperback first edition, found in one of my to-do boxes Saturday evening by a customer who wisely elected not to carry it around all night. The Dark Knight approves making the tough calls.

Bonnett's Books is an 80+ year old, 3rd generation, family buisness in a 147 year old building which survived the Great Flood of 1913, in the hometown of the 1st Edgar Cayce Psychic Institute. I'm often asked if we're haunted...
