पिछले दो हफ़्तों में देश भर में हो रहे प्रदर्शनों पर हुए पुलिसिया कार्यवाई में कम से कम 15 लोगों ने अपनी जान गंवा दी है, वहीं हजारों लोग ज़ख़्मी हुए जबकि कई लोगों की गिरफ्तारी भी हुई है। आज भी सुबह मार्च से पहले मंडी हाउस में धारा 144 लगा दी गयी थी जिसके बावजूद लोग सड़क पर उतरे और अपना विरोध दर्ज कराया।
