Modern UX is so trash across the board. I shouldn't have this much trouble figuring out where I can safely click on a window's title bar to focus it now that title bars are stuffed with buttons, or to discover what fields in a view are scrollable now that scroll bars are verboten, or to even tell what on a view is clickable or not since styling makes links look like normal text and buttons look like anything but buttons (or even makes active buttons look disabled). Don't even get me started on the mobile "where do I need to hold, double tap, drag, or swipe to do what I want to do" mystery box.
Not a fan of any Windows version, but circa Windows 98, at least you could look at a view and know exactly what you could interact with and how. Now Windows, MacOS, and GTK/Gnome all do the same confusing crap in the name of "minimalism" at the cost of usability and discoverability.

Typical modern software stack:
- They only provide a Dockerfile because it's so convoluted and patched together that it would be impossible to create a decent guide on how to make this stuff work without revealing just how much it's all held together by duct tape. Still, taking a peek at the Dockerfile will clearly reveal the chaos at play.
- Everything runs in separate containers, as it should, and they have automatic restarts, as they should. But then they're so tightly bound together with, you guessed it, duct tape, that when one of them fails, the container just restarts automatically, leaving the user wondering why everything failed, with only a cryptic error message.
- The main container is controlled by Supervisor - which is necessary because everything crashes very often, but the end user doesn't notice because Supervisor restarts the services. To outsiders, everything works fine (but occasionally throws some errors).In short, the current trend is to sweep the dirt under the rug. A trendy rug, though!
