#COVID infection is making me go down so so many rabbit holes while I recuperate.

So, things I learned while experiencing #COVID :

There are LOTS of kinds of shovels.
No one (as of 2006) had sampled the earth’s core.

Oh, BTW: I turned on #ModernMarvels this morning (on continuous-play) at 2am when I felt like shit from #COVID. I never knew how much petroleum oil and Sanka instant coffee were alike!

Oh, also? Did you know that the Aswan Dam and The Erie Canal both used dredging? The things you learn (that morph to weirdo factoids when you are asleep and don’t recognize episode switching)? 😂

Lesson: being sick and watching a science show continually changing subjects while you sleep make for f’ed up dreams!

Amazing. Visiting family in #france and my 11 year old thought we had an unlimited supply of water from the #alps. She was surprised to find out we were just filling #bottles from the tap and keeping them in the refrigerator. If I wanted to destroy the earth like companies like #CocaCola and #Nestle, I would have never realized the appeal of bottled water. #ModernMarvels #BottledWater #DrinkFromTheTap
