I read years ago that the most successful corporate leaders have high emotional intelligence and often think about the future.
The corporate culture of Reddit is to not think things through. Whether that is in how they handle *people* or lousy software engineering by not adequately testing capitalistic features like their automated site moderation which bans long term good users over mistakes.
#Huffman is a man of average intelligence who got lucky as a young adult with a web site he put up. He isn't a thinker.
He is a less successful copy of Mark Zuckerberg. They are both the Beverly Hillbillies of wealthy CEOs.

Reddit Bots permanently suspended my 14 year old Reddit account. Reddit ignored my appeal not even bothering to give me a non-automated reply.
Reddit really doesn't care.
I lost all of the subreddits I created and ran. One of the ones I created I ran for 8 years and grew to nearly half a million members.
Now I will see the same thing happen to other long term Reddit mods.
When I tried telling my story on Reddit I got accused of lying or bringing on my loss myself. Some of those people may be voted out.
This move may have unintended negative consequences for Huffman. Reddit has a corporate culture of not thinking things through.
There will plenty of ugly things to watch from all sides.
