I got the f-key line turned off (SCREEN 0,0) so things look better. I thought it might be fun to have the walk flip bits on the screen rather than just turning them on. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, N82 basic doesn't have the capacity to examine the screen. Hopefully I can figure out where the LCD controller is and PEEK at its RAM directly. #retrocomputing #modelt #basic

The keyboard is let down by the tiny enter key which is right next to the raised ridge on the keyboard tray. I'm sure I would get used to it if I was banging away on the Psion every day. Still, the keyboard on the eMate is nicer and neither one can hold a candle to the best portable keyboard ever made. 😁 #retrocomputing #psion #newton #nec #modelt -

My landlord collects antique autos that were service vehicles. This is the car that was parked under our place and filling the kitchen with gas fumes. Apparently an original police and/or fire department vehicle, as you might be able to tell from some of the alternate custom design.
This sucker is LOUD. Imagine a big car engine running without an enclosure and drop the pitch two octaves but keep it that loud, you have some kind of an idea what it's like to stand 20m away from it.

It's out of my price range but it would be cool if someone here wanted to give it a home. Because my bud Ben is porting it to every BASIC in sight, I spent half the night messing with ROG, my trs80 model 100 roguelike.
Last looked at in 2016.... and it's in BASIC.... made by a Past Me who was cranky about the programming rules being preached at him by CS profs.
"Don't write big projects in BASIC" turns out to be a pretty good rule, actually. 🤗
