Another multi-media short run kit that can produce a great model (not easily) was this Two Bobs T-2 Buckeye. The type was not available in a main-stream kit, however this and the Special Hobby releases covered Venezuelan, Hellenic as well as USN markings: #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft https://www.flypastrush.com/post/top-gun-trainer-1-48th-two-bobs-t-2c-buckeye

Going to go with the results on this UB although it no longer matches the intended paint tones of the second in line jet (the grays are pretty much reversed). The heavy weathering however, did come through as intended. 1/48 Academy Ukraine MiG-29 UB #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Somehow during all the delays, repaints and assessments with the MiG-29 & CF-5, these two Mustangs got built up and into the Paint Shop for a primer coat (WWII fighters do generally build up quicker than the jets do 🤔) Hopefully you all had a good weekend 👋🏻 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Decided a repaint on the CF-5D was necessary. Colour was off and the Tamiya paint I used gave me that sandpaper finish around where two surfaces meet at angles close to 90 degrees. Typically caused by the paint drying on route to the surface. Sand & Respray Vallejo! #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Working on my 1/48 Academy Ukraine MiG-29 UB build. The good news is I got the primed finish cleaned up enough to do the base gray coat. The bad news is I mishandled & dropped the kit during the paint set. 🫣 Broke the pitot & cracked open the nose seam to set me back! 😬 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Working away on the CF-5D project this weekend (between gardening and visiting the family) and managed to get the surface primed enough to go for the light gray spray... Maybe not quite the colour I was aiming for but I will wait n see. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
