Doctor's offices having mobile apps doesn't really make sense. Most devices now remove permissions and data if an app goes unused for 30 days, so unless you're seeing your doctor VERY regularly, you'll end up missing notifications.
A well developed mobile website and email notifications would be better suited to most patients.

For Android or mobile web, what's the best map-alternative to Google Maps? Either app or mobile web app. Seems there are plenty of apps in Google Play, but they all want to access too much on my phone.
Use-cases: Figuring out where I am, finding a route (car, public transportation, bike, walking) from A to B.
EDIT: Car-navigation is not needed, just figuring out the route upfront.

Why is anyone using an app to access a #freesoftware project like #Mastodon that's free and doesn't track users or violate #privacy?
Wouldn't it make more sense to focus that effort on #mobileweb and let everyone use the same interface regardless of platform? The way the web intended.
