I was just thinking of the Acadia (it was one of our favorite places to hang out when my girlfriend and I started dating). Two summers ago a bus crashed into the building and since then we learned almost nothing about what caused the crash or what will happen to the cafe.

It's the summer of 1966 and my dad was sharing his love of #fishing with me. For this kid, there was nothing better than being in a boat with his dad and a bucket of minnows. He didn't have much money in those days, but he was always able to scrape up a few bucks to rent a boat from one of Minnesota's many small lake resorts and take his kid fishing.

First time out cross country skiing for the season. Got 4” of fresh snow overnight and I was the first one out there to enjoy it.
I love it when the only other tracks are from deer and squirrels.
The snow ended up being a little too wet and sticky but it was still nice to get out.

Todays happy discovery is that Moose Lake MN has a car charger AND a brewery just about a quarter mile apart. And as a bonus there’s an antique shop next door to the brewery for my wife to go to.
An auspicious start to my vacation.
