The Odd Rock Cafe (formerly “Cafe Voltaire”) in Milwaukee, where many bands played in the 1980s. Lots of memories from that place. It was eventually torn down. I use to live a few blocks away and later worked right down the street in Bay View.

I've updated (mostly culled) my list of Milwaukee Mastodon users.

This list used to be over 80 people, but the vast majority only posted in 2022/2023. A few straggled into 2024. I removed anyone who hasn't posted more than once in 2025.

It kind of sucks, but meh... it is what it is.

I had to stop at a friend's house on Saturday to pick something up. I saw a large pothole in front of their place, took a few minutes to snap a photo and report it to the city, and... it just got filled in.

Reported on Saturday, fixed on Monday.

I don't know how to convince more people to do this.

Today's No Kings protest was awesome. Felt good to see all the creative expressions of our common frustration & empathy/compassion for the disenfranchised. Awesome tunes, inspiring speakers, then a protest march around town. Lots of people were inspired by an eagle among them and wanted photos. Some people asked me to hold the Palestine flag for some photos and it was an honor. Got briefly interviewed by a couple of journalists. Hopefully others are inspired!
