Hiking bridge over Kommagelva in Varanger national park enables one to hike north/south on Eastern part of it. Very useful.
There was also a weather station next to the bridge.

There are lots and lots of nice little streams in Varanger. Often overflowing with melting snow at the time of my trip there.

Being a lazy cook and happy to eat quite same-same day after day, my standard backpacking warm meal menu is...
Morning: Instant oatmeal with oil and chocolate + instant coffee (alike beverage 😅)
Lunch: Instant noodles with some flavor-in-a-bag
Dinner: big freeze dry meal by #summittoeat
I actually rather enjoy these - weird? 🙂

Occassionally the terrain was quite rocky on mid-Eastern part of the park. And grey day could have made the mood gloomy, but that wasn't really in my mind as I was occupied just trying to find my way in the little snowy ground in late May. Kept me well occupied 😊.

On the first and last day of my #varanger #backpacking trip I enjoyed #Nattfjelldalen valley and waterfall. Quite scenic - and on easy reach for day #hiking as well, the parking spot being just outside #Vadsö in Norway.
