「混血」はネガティブな印象が強いとよく聞きますので避けていますが、「ミックス」や「ルーツ」とかが通じない高齢の方との会話でわかりやすく伝える言葉ってなんでしょうか🤔Are there any good JP non-katakana words to explain mixed heritage?
I know "konketsu" is a thing, but I've never heard it used in a positive way.
But then, there are older folks who don't understand the loanword uses of "mix(ed)" and "roots," so it makes me wonder if there aren't any good words for conversations with them 🤔 -

人種がミックスされてる人が（主語が大きいのは置いといて）一般的に受け入れられ難いのは「人種」は実在するものではなく、社会的に作り上げられた「概念」だからこそかもしれない
いつもなら人種は自分で決めるものではなく、自分が生活する社会によってラベルが貼られ、そのラベルによって立場や扱い方などが予想されたりするけど
#ミックス の人たちときたらそうはいかないなぜなら
<人種がミックスされてる人しか自分の人種との関係性を決められないから>つまり私たちが存在してるだけで人種の社会的な役割が成り立たなくなることが多く、「人種＝具体的で必然的なもの」としか思ったことがない人にとって理解に苦しむものになってるかもしれない
I think part of the reason it's hard for some people to accept the existence of #MixedRace folks is because #race itself is a social construct
Your race is usually given to you by the society in which you live, & from there, folks will assume your place in society, how to treat you, etc etc
But such is not the case for mixed folksBecause ‼️ the only ones who can decide how a mixed person should identify is the mixed person themself ‼️
Our very existence challenges the use society has for race as a concept, so folks who've only ever thought of race as something real & concrete end up not knowing how to deal with it

A bit about my DNA test 🧬
I haven't mentioned this here yet but I took a DNA test in 2022. The small package came with a plastic test tube and instructions on how to take the test. I spit in the tube and sent it off right away. After waiting a couple of months as they processed the sample, my results were ready. (1/3)

it's funny, these people do militaristic-like rituals where people come together to form spectacular propaganda signs, they believe that racial segregation is natural and that #mixedRace children can't go to heaven, that you should resign from your individuality and emotions for a greater goal, that giving greater (angel/alien) human(-looking) gods all power to destroy communism is their path towards salvation, all with the swastika and a wheel as representative symbols
