Some of the folks from Centre 507 who we often donate to and support in any way we can just paid us a visit.

Centre 507 is a low barrier soup kitchen and winter warming centre a couple doors down from us, next to the church.

They asked us if we had a bargain bin of mitts and gloves, because they had almost none and it was looking scary for them. They have a free thrift and supply emergency clothing to anyone who asks.

We knew this was coming and had asked our main supplier last month, who told us that their sorting process separated gloves and mitts, so they did not sell them as people want pairs (weird)

The Centre 507 folks were so worried they were looking at buying a bunch - from a Dollar store or even Amazon, and were looking for better alternatives

Would any of our followers have better suggestions we could pass onto them?

Or a big bag of unwanted mitts or gloves to drop off?

Finished a new #knitting project and completed one of these Ridges #Mitts using the Ridges Hat and Mitts pattern by Elizabeth A. Deckar with the Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran yarn in color Gold.

Both the yarn and the pattern were in the Goodie Bag from the 2023 Webs Winter Knitting Conference.

I upsized to size nine needles due to thinner yarn and knit the larger size mitt.  It is a Liiiittle big on my large man hands... But I figure it'll be perfect to go over gloves and long sleeves on really cold days.

I have a bit of this yarn left. I figure it won't be enough for the hat unless I buy more.

I finished these "Oak Hollow" fingerless mitts in sport weight wool, on double pointed needles. Kinda like the cheery turquoise and gold color combo, though they don't really 'go' with any of my coats or sweaters much. Cute acorns and oak leaves pattern.
