  1. Vale Mama Major. You were the face of Kindness, of Survival, and of Resistance

    Rest in Power.

    _____
From the Transgender Law Centre Facebook:
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved elder, mother, and revolutionary, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, has passed away.

A lifelong freedom fighter, Miss Major dedicated her life to uplifting trans women of color, incarcerated people, and all those abandoned by systems of power. From the uprising at Stonewall to decades of community care and organizing, she showed us what it means to love fiercely and live unapologetically.

Her impact reaches every corner of our movements, every trans person who dares to exist, resist, and thrive carries her light.

Rest in power, Miss Major. We love you, we honor you, and we will carry your spirit forward in every fight for liberation. 💜

  2. The video starts with a trans person, Erin, talking about Zohran Mamdani's new political ad for Mayor of New York.

It throws to the ad, which shows Mamdani sitting at a desk in a park, wearing a neat suit. While he's talking a number of old pictures of New York from the 70s and 80s show, along with photos of Sylvia Rivera.

It cuts back to Erin talking about the ad again.

  4. "[M]ost people don’t know what Pride is about. The anguish, and the hurt, and the reason why Pride started in the first place—it was an anti-cop event. Look, yes—I know there are trans police officers. You have Black people who are police officers, and women police officers. All that’s cute, but guess what: It’s blue first, your other allegiances second. Once you get on that blue, child, it goes straight through to your brain, dyes your brain blue, and you’re no longer whoever the fuck you were before. So no, they don’t need to be there. That’s where their loyalty lies. So stay the fuck away from me."
