The language I tend to use for #GentleDensity or #MissingMiddle housing is to “grow in” (infill that uses land better with smaller homes) rather than “grow out” (sprawl). I reserve saying “grow up” for mid-rise or high-rise growth, because I find height is often more triggering than density itself.
