Late afternoon, just as my daughter and I got home two representatives from Verizon. They started their spiel by telling me that they had installed a new cell tower up the hill from us. OK. No big deal. A bunch of towers have gone up in the last decade and I told him so.

No. That was the entry point to trying sell us on Verizon internet. They go on to ask if we were ATT or Comcast customers. Blank faced I told him neither. To which they jump to the idea that we don't have internet.

Eventually they figure out that we have Sonic. They then tell me to give them my phone so they can Google Sonic for me to show me how much better their service will be.

I told them no. We've been customers of Sonic for 20 years and close the door.

That should have been the end of it. But the instant my husband comes home, they're back to upsell him.
