  5. Picture Jan. 6 riot organizer Kylie Kremer as #MISEN candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Now imagine he's from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Doesn't look so much like the Holodomor was caused by pilots burning their own timber now, does it?

  6. Abdul El-Sayed: "Trump's #tariffs have cost Michigan $5,619 per household — higher than every other state — just so Trump can play his little vanity games. Mike Rogers will never call this out because he's corrupt and a coward."

  9. Dan Pfeiffer: "Abdul El-Sayed is still the favorite to win the election for the Senate in Michigan, a 50-50 state in a very Democratic year. El-Sayed is still recovering from an unprecedented $60 million assault, and Mike Rogers has not faced an ounce of scrutiny yet."

  20. The Midwest is getting older.

So now we are seeing some clamor of seniors paying reduced or no property taxes - after decades of significant disinvestment in public infrastructure by these same voters.

Even El-Sayed’s threw his support behind it during the #MISen debates.

    That wasn’t random.

  21. Rep. Haley Stevens said soon after she lost the election: "I love Michigan and am so proud to have put up my hand to serve. I spoke with Abdul a few moments ago to offer him my full support as we work to defeat Mike Rogers this November."

  40. Ben Rhodes wrote about today's Democratic Party primary for Senator in Michigan: "So I am excited to see what the people of Michigan decide. By any measure, Abdul is the underdog - he's been buried in money. But money doesn't get to decide who wins - voters do. Vote Abdul."

#Trumporrhea is definitely not a ‘peaceful’ way to die, but if you have serious pre-existing conditions and consumed #TaylorFarms lettuce 🥬 tainted with #cyclospora in #Michigan and death ☠️ in inevitable, then *today* was the perfect day to ‘buy the farm’.

What better way to poignantly remind #MIsen voters that #MedicareForAll is on the #Democratic primary ballot tomorrow!

  50. Regional sprawl continues apace - as statewide incomes, graduate retention, startup retention and student outcomes drop like a stone.

Our industries are behind and stagnant.

    It is bleak.

And this whole Dem #MISen race addressed none of it - because Michiganders don't want to face the music.

  51. Like a flash in the pan.

It is unstable. It is not durable.

And the needs of local communities/regions/states are effectively watered down (or ignored) through crude nationalization - as it has been in this Dem #MISen Primary.

Michiganders and Detroiters are, clearly, not the priority.

  52. One of the major blindspots that I have noticed during this Great Dem #MISen Primary Debate is that Michigan, if it is SUPER lucky, generally only retains 3 out of every 10 of its young Michiganders after graduation.

So we are a VERY aged state - which has had (bad) political/economic consequences.

Michigan is old and getting ol...
