More than the #writer. #SarahPolley adapted the #MiriamToews book into the screenplay, and #directed the film. And while I don't at all begrudge Everything Everywhere it's sweep, #WomenTalking should have been nominated for best picture. It doesn't have the wizbang rollercoaster ride of EE, but like EE, it's about being a woman/mother/daughter/wife, and imho, is actually a better film.

Women Talking - the last one we saw! Might be a bit of recency bias but I really liked it - very much the “this movie feels like it was a play” of this year (it wasn’t, it was a novel) with amazing performances and great, slightly stagey dialogue.
