I recently did a half-session of Life Drawing with these colors. It was a bit of chaos trying to do timed poses without dry time, but that yielded some fascinating results. Torn btwn doing pt2 with same palette or mixing it up!

I’m writing my first book, which is about dismantling the mythos and glorification of tortured artists, and offering healthier options for creative people.
I have an outline, and am drafting the chapters while performing research interviews. I’m disabled and low spoons, so it’s a slow process but I am determined!

Another birb WIPdate. I’ve since added a lot of water and darkened the branch but the drying process is muddy, so I’ll probably just share again when finished, hopefully tomorrow so I can move on to my 3 other to do pieces!
Also thank you to everyone who helped me find a bottle of Pennonia Zuzmó Lichen ink—that’s the green!

Baby is a lot darker than I intended, but I’m cautiously optimistic that if my simple background is paler, less saturated colors ae will be ok?

I've lately not been doing much photography due to lack of spoons & models, but one of my favorite photoshoots was at the ocean in Malibu, where I photographed Leah with iridescent fabric at sunset. The coastline points south there, so as the sun set we got this beautiful golden hour side light.

It's #WorldWaterDay. Our waters are some of the most important aspects of our planet for survival, and it is heartbreaking to me that we still have not guaranteed everyone access to free, clean, safe water.
To add a golden lining, though: Here are a few different water-themed artworks from the last couple years

Decided to play around with my @illmarks bookmarks for a Magical Girl fashion outfit. Once upon a time I dreamt of being a costume or fashion designer.
I was much better as a creative/technical designer than a purely aesthetic designer, but it was kinda fun to revisit.
