I see videos of a lot of tiny (adult) bikes from Asia nowadays, usually with rubber wheels which I’d consider to be slow, kid stuff, but they are fast. Even the French attempted this at some point, but all of such things seem to be wiped out by something electric, at least in the West. There still seems to be a market in Asia for those though
I never thought that I’d consider the Brompton to be a large bike

@pete Main disadvantage of Blacksnow compared to VO: The VO one is made by Maxway in Taiwan, the Blacksnow one by not so renown Chinese manufacturers.

Not because their expensive. 1.500$ for a complete is actually good. But because they offer only one size (and sell it like matching size doesn't matter - it totally does!)

@pete I've been thinking about getting one. The price difference comparing to Velo Orange Neutrino (which I'd consider the reference within quality brands) isn't actually to big.
The main advantage is that you can choose more options:
- Excentric bottom bracket (instead of the IMHO ugly sliding dropouts of the VO)
- Thru axle
- Frame mounted rack (THE main selling point for me) -
I kind of get it, it's from Stridsland and it has SMALL + WIDE tires. But, this thing is EXPENSIVE. Who are the people buying this?
It's not just that the frame is ~1.5k€, you have to get wide rims, boost spacing hubs and also a dropper post to fully enjoy it. If you build it up you'll end up at 3-4k€. For a bike which is mainly "for fun".

Little shakedown run out for a coffee with a friend on the #fauxtrino this morning. Pretty good.. the horrid revoshift shifts and indexes perfectly (he said through disgruntled teeth) rear brake needs adjustment as its not too good. I deffo want to change the bar/quill/stem in phase two! But.. good fun! #minivelo #biketooter
