I'm just reporting my thoughts. Will probably take a couple of posts.
First of all: I liked it a lot. It's modern, very quiet. Gadgety. I picked a top cabin for a better view.
The experience is not unlike a forest shelter or small tent but with nicer materials, a breakfast brought to you, and a RGB light system. Glamping on rails?
That said: I'm a bit over 190cm and it's fine, but not overly spacious. Height is good though.

Erstmalig eine #Nightjet-Fahrt in einer #MiniCabin verbracht. Mein Fazit: Raumkonzept ist spitze mit sehr gut durchdachten simplen (und dadurch robusten) Lösungen. Leider keinerlei Schalldämmung, das Bedienen jeglicher Funktionalität verursacht zu viel Lärm (Kojentüre, Verdunkelungsrollo, Klapptisch…). Die Lüftung läuft durchgängig und bläst nicht regulierbar ununterbrochen sehr kalte Luft herein, während nur eine viel zu dünne Decke zur Verfügung steht.

4/ Update: Der #nightjet ist auf die Minute pünktlich in Innsbruck eingelaufen. Die Nacht war ok 👍. Privatsphäre ist gut, aber irgendwie bekommen sie es immer noch nicht hin, gleiche Destinationen zusammen zu gruppieren, und mensch landet immer dort, wo um 01:00h die letzten zusteigen, und um 6:00 die ersten aussteigen 🤣. Und die Schieberollos an den #MiniCabin sind nicht zu überhören. #Funfact: im Reisezentrum ma Bhf Innsbruck warnt die #OEBB vor Baustellen bei der #DB #Bahn.

hat hier wer die konkreten Maße einer MiniCabin beim ÖBB (neue Generation nightjet) also da steht wie groß der locker und das Schuhfach is aber sonst nix zu Maßen? Weiß da jemand mehr? vllt. bi ich gerade zu Aufgeregt um was zu finden. #öbb #nightjet #minicabin

You got me back #ÖBB (but I maybe was overalmdudlered 🤭), this #minicabin was quite an experience. It’s tiny and with my 1.9 meters I just fit, but you are on your own, with a 230 volts and a USB outlet as well as wireless charging, multicolor dimmable lighting and a bunk not as bad as I thought. 55€ for the reservation and my #interrail pass (although so far they never wanted to see it 🤔) brought me from #Vienna to #Rome incl. small breakfast: 👍

After two lovely days in #Prague it’s time to get back on #track. The #ČD #lounge at the main station is the first I know also accessible for second class tickets, but it’s quite small and grimy.
The #regiojet 257 to #Vienna was pretty cramped, but luckily I bought a seat reservation this time. Happy hour prices were comforting, I even got a place at a table 😊
Now I’m waiting at the #ÖBB lounge for my #nightjet #minicabin to #Rome ☕️☕️☕️ -
