I missed Muskrat Monday I guess, but better late than never, and there's always next week.
Photographed in the local protected wetland habitat in the town of #Kentville #NovaScotia . This little chap was building his nest in a hole in the bank along the river flowing through Miner's Marsh.

The other day I posted photos of #MinersMarsh in Kentville,a protected area of wetland.
A few years ago I was walking around it with a friend and glanced down to see this little creature sitting at the entrance to her nest.Fortunately I had my camera with me and ready. So here is a tiny gift for my friends today.I hope yours is one with some good surprises, big or little.They are there if you look for them. #NovaScotia

Nice, though short walk on Miner's Marsh in the middle of Kentville with @stevenkennard this afternoon. Signs of spring are starting to appear. It was 20ºC (70ºF) so felt very warm. Can you see the goose on the little island? There were also red winged blackbirds and others.
