Here’s the old girl four years ago on her 80th birthday. The pic was taken by my brother and you can see that mum’s putting her “take the photo and leave me alone” smile on as she really didn’t like her picture being taken. There were plans from some of the family to put a big party on for mum but when approached about it she was very much “No fuss, no party, and NO surprises at all!”.

I guess that’s where I get that trait from.

tfw two superfluous indulgences we used to be able to take some pleasure in, some value from, some fraternity even, i.e., Twitter and the Washington Post, two disparate media, yet with the shared utility of being pretty good at what they did, as far as their limited missions were, i.e., news and newstainment, which we took quite for granted, can become enshittified beyond recognition and all because two men too rich to care, decided they needed to take a dump, on us it would seem.

What an incredible world we were gifted. Like most people, the Discworld came into my life at a time when I truly needed the escape. I am forever grateful.

Wir alle kommen nicht drumherum, wenigstens ab & an Sauber zu machen. Uns, unsere Wohnung, unseren Haushalt etc.
Inzwischen gibt es viele, zumindest einigermaßen umweltfreundliche, Putz- & Waschmittel, Shampoos & Seifen ohne Gedöns.

Auch Essig & Natron haben viele Menschen für sich wiederentdeckt. Es braucht defintiv keine 25 Plastikflaschen um eine Wohnung & sich sauber zu halten!
