I'm sure there's a CSS file rendering a web page in the fading defocused purple-blue constant-width typeface of mimeograph reproduction. But the technology still lacks the ability to produce the strong odor of alcohol.

My favorite school days were the ones when we got our assignments printed on the #mimeograph. The text was always #purple, my #FavoriteColor. The freshly-printed ones felt cold and had a nice aroma. So did the #RubberCement and #PermanentMarkers. -

I'm getting ready to put in a proposal for #SHARP2023 (deadline: Jan. 15). Any @bookhistodons preparing anything on the book-historical impact of 20th-century office-copying technologies, or something similar? Maybe the #MimeographRevolution, #xerox technology, #zines ? My proposal could go in on its own, but I'm thinking there could be a good panel on that topic.

Anyone have experience with #mimeograph #printmaking ?
I might have just acquired an old press and now I realize that they don't make the waxed stencil paper any more. Are there any alternatives or DIY solutions?
Ideally; I would like to use this with my dot-matrix and daisy wheel printers.
