  1. Have a new impact for this weekends car-fixy work.

I have used the 1/2" M18 compact (2855) for years on lug nuts and brakes, never a problem ... but 32mm axle bolts and bearing press prob be too much for it.

Standing over it - the new gen 3 1/2" high torque (2967). Rated 1,600 ft-lbs vs 250, 640% more, and uh.

Can feel that. Or maybe not, rusted bolts just come right off (or snap). Wow. It is insane, like legit crazy powerful. I... am impressed.

  2. I have a small 150-ish watt inverter from Milwaukee that attaches to their M18 batteries. It looks like it’s kicked the bucket. I’ve hardly used it. I don’t think it gets the same awesome warranty as their other tools and whatnot.

I checked with multiple batteries to confirm.

I’ve used it to power something over 100W so it’s a bit weird to fail when I’m only demanding less than 50W.

So much for a portable power supply for my heat pad…

  3. ugh, spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a missing #drillbit, only to realize the empty slot is unlabelled/un-used.

Come on #MilwaukeeTools, like, just toss in another 1/8“ bit. Though I also should know better by now, these aren't new to me.

While I am on it, these hex shanks are really a mixed blessing. Always seems like the bit is a little too short, and it is really hard to get the bits out of the case — generally use needle noses, to spare the finger skin.

  4. @m750 oh I agree with you, I love snow for the holidays and all the magic that it brings… the lack of light afterwards is what drags me down due to #SAD - I invested in a #MilwaukeeTools heated vest and gloves and a VERY warm pair of #HellyHansen winter boots so hopefully I will enjoy the winter more this year
