Am 1. April 2001, heute vor 22 Jahren, wurde Slobodan Milošević verhaftet.

Der jugoslawische Präsident war im Mai 1999 vom Internationalen Strafgerichtshof für das ehemalige Jugoslawien wegen Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit angeklagt worden.

Im Oktober 2000 wurde Präsident Milošević im Zuge von Protesten gestürzt und sechs Monate später nach Den Haag ausgeliefert.
