If you are a baker currently using bromated flours and would like to switch you will have to make some slight adjustments to your mixing process, but in our view the effort is worth it as you will be able to provide your employees a safer working environment, and your customers with a healthier product."

  6. Non-circular gear seem to defy the laws of motion. It really doesn't look like they are going to mesh at all, but somehow they do. That's why I think they are so cool.

  12. Interactive drilling is a lot of fun.

Sneak peak of a new in progress demo, where you can control a 3 axis drill (various shapes) via point-and-click. The drill then moves to your target location, subtracting sweeped tool meshes in ~20 hz frequency.

This is all done using exact mesh booleans and takes roughly 1ms per step in most cases.

    (Rendering/UI via godot again)

  17. Have been improving some of the essential motor brackets of my Alaxis 3D-printer. Mostly because of Z height issues between prints. I'm using a dc42 infrared sensor on a gfk sheet (matte).

The old printed brackets were in bad shape so these aluminum ones, that also have thermal paste applied to carry the heat away, have taken there place.

    Will see how they perform.

  20. Yesterday, I spent the whole day making a part for the CNC machine. It was totally boring ....

I am making a motor mount for the 1KW Servo that I will be using as a spindle motor.

  25. anyone here into metal working, specifically lathe and milling? I am looking to ease into it as a way to machne some simple parts like knurled knobs etc from soft metal like brass and aluminum. I have been looking for either taig, sherline or unimat but I am looking for resources that would give me introduction to metalworking on lathe and mill. could one of you be kind enough to point me in right direction? I have line on a used millLathe which is one of the tabletop/miniature lathe/mill combos that uses dremel or similar as cutter head.

please boost for reach and feel free to suggest more useful hashtags.

"While no longer common, #WaterWheels have an ancient history for use in #blacksmithing, #milling flour, and more.

"In the late 1800’s, they started to see commercial use for generating electricity.

"Though they are not as popular for energy generating today, many people still build them for use in low-flow areas, or as a fish-safe alternative to dams."
